It was an honor to attend the Clinton Foundation event tonight. A lot of celebrities were there such as (yes, I’m going to name drop!) Lady Gaga, Usher, Ashton Kutcher, Ellen DeGeneres, Jason Siegel, Bono, Canon, Juanez, Stevie Wonder, and of course the Clintons. More than seeing these artists perform, a bigger sense of responsibility came to me as I sit there to watch them. It has always been a passion of mine to help others and help change the world for the better.

There would be times when I just sit, sulk and complain about my life… but looking at a bigger picture, I really have nothing to complain about because there are people out there who needs help, there are people out there who have way more things to worry about, there are people out there who are way less fortunate than me. Comparing myself to them…I realized that I have a lot already. I have everything I need already. I have nothing to ask for.

Today, I learned that just because you don’t see the unfortunate things that are happening in the world, it doesn’t mean that they’re not there — we have to open all our senses to be able to understand what these people are going through. Open your eyes. Hear them out. Feel their pain with your heart. Extend a hand and help another person. I’m not talking about just monetary contribution, but another priceless thing you can give is your time. A few hours of volunteer work can help thousands and thousands of people.

Be a blessing to others, I think that’s the purpose of life here on earth.
