Love is a feeling that is followed by a choice. You can love a person and not be with them … this goes vice versa, you may not love someone and yet still be with them (i.e. arranged marriages, marrying for money or status).
For some, love is easy to understand — they interpret it with roses, chocolates, love songs, and all that sweet stuff. But, what matters the most is the capability to look over each other’s faults. Look at the bright side together but also jump over the hurdles TOGETHER. You can’t just let one person jump the hurdle for you. That way, you will both be strong and both ready for the next level.
Effort is needed for a relationship to work, but if it is love, it won’t be much of a hassle; everything just works out perfectly. Forget everyone else who is trying to be with you because you are pretty, talented, or sexy. Forget that shit stuff. Be with someone who will accept you for who you are, not “what” you are. That is just a very idealistic and worldly reason to love. When all is gone, all you will have is each other. Gone are the good dancing skills, hair will all turn to grey, bones will not be so sturdy, health will only deteriorate and we die a little bit everyday. So, work on loving each other more and more each day. Appreciate the other person. Be patient. Be forgiving. Be understanding. When you learn to look over the faults, everything will be perfect.
But when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
