I have once read in an online health website that people don’t realize how much chemicals we put on our skin. Imagine this: the chemicals in your shampoo, make-up, facial wash, body wash/soap, lotion, etc. The list just goes on and on. Don’t you ever realize that all these chemicals can build up IN your body? Yes, in your body; and the same products that can make you “beautiful” are the very same products that can eventually kill you.

Do I sound threatening enough?

If your answer is yes, then that’s fantastic… because you HAVE to be aware on what you put on your body. Be careful on what you slab on your hair, face and body. On my blog, I will share my  effective DIY recipes. I will make sure that it is 100% effective before I write it on here. I’ll make myself the guinea pig. (Disclaimer: if you are allergic to any ingredient, please, don’t even attempt to do it.)

First, let’s start with those lovely locks of yours.

OLIVE OIL + BANANA HAIR MASK

Ingredients:

3 tsp olive oil (extra virgin)

2 bananas (cubed or sliced)

2 eggs (just the white part)

Materials:

shower cap

small comb

blender

First, put the sliced bananas into the blender. Blend for about 3-5 seconds.

Pour 2 tsp of olive oil + egg whites into your banana puree.

Blend well.

Put into a separate bowl.

Okay, now make sure your hair is damp. Get a small comb (or you can use your hand) and put the mixture in your hair. Make sure that you massage the hair roots. That’s important! After that, just put the shower cap on.

Wait for an hour. This is the part where you watch your DVRd TV shows and movies. Wash the dishes. Clean the house. Walk the dog. Wax your car. After all these chores, then let’s get back to your hair… ready now?

Wash your hair with cold water. Don’t shampoo it. Only use an organic conditioner to make your hair even shinier and smoother (I use Henna organic shampoo and I love it!). Pat your hair with a towel. Don’t rub the towel on your head! Wet hair is even more delicate than dry hair, so be gentle.

When your hair dries, it will be shiny and smooth. I PROMISE YOU. I’m sure that you’ll be satisfied with the results.
